CELTIC FROST Finishes Shooting 'A Dying God' Video

August 17, 2006

Seminal avant-garde metal pioneers CELTIC FROST spent 17 straight hours on Tuesday (August 15) in Zurich filming for the video for the song "A Dying God Coming into Human Flesh" from the band's latest CD, "Monotheist". The clip is expected to begin airing in September on all the usual video outlets.

In other news, CELTIC FROST frontman Tom Gabriel Fischer has posted the following message on his official blog:

"I believe we all feel that CELTIC FROST's appearance [Saturday] night [August 12] at the For Noise festival in Pully near Lausanne, Switzerland, has been the most exceptional concert so far since the group has begun again to create and play music. It all came together, in spite of the late hour, the cold, and the pouring rain, and it was magic.

"And so was the magnificent audience.

"That same night, after the show, the others in the band chastised me, seriously, for my violent handling of my guitars at the end of our concerts. And while I can understand their point, and while some of my guitars are gifts handed to me by the band or by Martin [Ain, bass]... I have also always believed that they play with me exactly because of my aggressiveness on the instrument, that they realize that almost all music of CELTIC FROST has been derived from that very trait of mine. My music and my conduct are not separable."
